How Many Oceans Are There?

Most countries now recognize our world as having five (5) areas (oceans) that make-up our one (1) big global ocean.  

The five (5) oceans are:

Atlantic

Pacific
Indian
Arctic
Southern (Antarctic) 

The Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian are known as or considered the three major oceans.  You can see where each ocean is located on the map above.

Which Ocean Do I Live Closest To?

I live closest to the North Atlantic Ocean and typically visit the Gulf of Mexico when we go to the beach on vacation.
